Simoun Doujin - Downloads & Discussion

SilverZephyr and I have been going back and forth lately, searching for new fanart (we'll just say all my fanart folders are outdated) and she came across some doujin that you could actually read. Well, not read as in understand 'cause it's in Chinese, but it's not something you have to buy or can only preview. Book forms will be made available when possible. If you have any to contribute, please contact one of us.

I've decided to also make this a discussion thread. If you've got a particular doujin you wanna discuss, do share! Talk about your favorites, ones you don't like, etc.

I've made updates to the original post. I've put each of these doujin into book form in MSWord and saved them. The first part of Within the Tangled Webs now has a translation and is included in the book form for easy reading.

Adding to this with some AnubitufxGuragief doujinshi I found online.

There's a lot of stuff on that site--the pages labeled 1-15 are a bunch of short humor comics and some fanart and such, most of which is AnubitufxGuragief and a bit of which is not. The section labeled 'comic' though has a bunch of longer doujinshi. Some of them seem AU. The one labeled 4 with the kanji after it contains tasteful nudity/foreplay. The one that really interested me though was the doujin that spans from 4-1 to 4-3. It's quite long and though I can't read any of the text it seems to start out with Anubituf passing out while drinking. Paraietta, who had been sitting with him, goes and gets Guragief to help. Guragief ends up carrying Anubituf on his back while walking with Paraietta and presumably telling her all about him and Anubituf's past relationship. Most of the doujin is flashbacks broken up by scenes of Guragief talking to Paraietta (who spends the doujin wearing Anubituf's hat XD). 4-1 focuses on when Anubituf and Guragief went to the spring (and the aftermath I think). Beginning in 4-2 the flashbacks start being of them as adults on the Arcus Prima having various emotional conversations. Without being able to read the text, my favorite bit is a scene of them on the balcony.

I have a translated version of the second half of Within the Tangled Web. Unfortunately it's been so long since I copypasted the images that I have no idea, where i had found them. But I'll share them, as soon as I come up with how to do it. I'm not good with computers.

If you can send the images to me via email, that would work. I can help you do that and I'd be willing to make it in book and download form for you. I'm willing to do anything to help you share the translated version because really that's the doujin I've wanted to see the translation for.

I've updated the main post yet again. Thanks to Flying Lesbian, there is now a complete English version of Within the Tangled Webs. She also sent me pages that aren't listed on the website above. I am starting to feel like this doujin is incomplete and we don't have the whole story. The pages that Flying Lesbian sent me don't seem to be an end point. If anyone knows anything about this, contact me and let me know. For now, enjoy the doujin (or what we have of it if that's the case) in English.

I didn't think I'd update again so soon after the last set of doujin that were posted. However, silverzephyr13 was showing me a new Aaeru pic on Pixiv and I happened to notice a collection of images that turned out to be a short doujin. It's newly uploaded and beautiful.

From what SZ and I gathered (separately), it's another take on Neviril's love confession to Aaeru. It's also in Japanese and not Chinese, so if anyone wants to translate it, feel free. I'd love to know what it says! Just remember to please share with the rest of us :3

Links to the original site and a downloadable book form are posted in the first post. You will not be able to view it on the original site unless you have a Pixiv account. I highly recommend getting one because there is some wonderful art there. It's like deviantArt in Japanese! Use Google Translate to assist you with the sign-up process; it's very easy with that bit of help. You can search for Simoun in English, but you'll get the most results if you use the Japanese form.

I was informed (by you, at Otakon) that we had a downloadable version of Book of Helical Motors. What happened to that? Am I missing it here or is it somewhere else?

Ah there is. Since it's not technically doujin it's not in this thread. That was manga released with the PS2 game. I had planned at some point to make a manga thread where you could download the manga just as the doujin, but I've only got Book of Helical Motors in book form. Let me upload it and I'll PM you the link.

Stickied the thread so it's easily found, and amended the purpose of the thread as well. Feel free to discuss any doujin you see here, or others you've come across. Of course, if the latter is the case, please link me because I am working to collect whatever I can find.

XD You always find the new stuff on Pixiv before me! I took a look at them this morning and I'll soon have them in book format for downloading. Of course, you've just made my Doujin and Manga binder bigger, not that I mind at all...
